Dehydrated Delights

When we moved into our new house Andy put shelves in the basement utility room for our food storage. What a sad sight that was, we hardly had a thing to put on the shelves. So we have been slowly adding to our storage in hopes that we will someday have enough to sustain ourselves in case of an emergency. For Family Home Evening on Monday we had a trial run. Andy got out the camp stove and we made some Mountain House dehydrated dinners. Surprisingly, it turned out pretty tasty (despite what is represented in the following visual). So if we ever find ourselves in a true predicament we decided we have enough food and supplies to last 7 and a half hours. Good, great, grand.
If our emergency does arrive Piper and Hatch know how to, well kind of know how to, adjust the flame on the stove,

and Milli can delicately remind us that the stove is a liiiittle loud.

And now that we've eaten our only supply of Terryaki chicken and pasta primavera, you all are invited over to enjoy our remaining supply of tuna, ranch, and wheat. Yaaayyy.

P.S. The side effects of the meal for Andrew were, of course, as one might predict.
